COL(R) Frank D. Hicks, 94, of Crestview Hills, KY, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2025 at St Elizabeth Hospice surrounded by loved ones.

A proud veteran of the United States Army, Frank served his country with honor and dedication.

Frank graduated from the US Military Academy at West Point, NY and served 21 years in the military with two tours in Vietnam, a mission in Laos, and spent time in Tehran as a Special Forces advisor to the Iranian Army. He earned two Bronze Star medals, four Air medals, the Legion of Merit medal, the Combat Infantry badge, the Special Forces tab, the Ranger tab, the Pathfinder badge, and the Master Parachutist badge with 149 jumps.

Following his military service, he went on to build a distinguished 40-year career in Real Estate starting with West Shell then Caldwell Banker, where he became a trusted name in the community and helped countless families find their new homes.

Frank was known for his unwavering integrity, warm smile, and a tireless work ethic. His commitment to his clients and his community earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends alike. Frank was active in the Board of Realtors, Home Builders, Ft Mitchell Baptist Church, Highland Cemetery Board, and the Elsa Sule Foundation. Beyond his professional achievements, he will be remembered for his deep love of family, steadfast values, and generous spirit.

Preceded in death by his brother Irle R Hicks. Survivors include his wife Becky Hicks (nee Campbell), son Franklin (Angie) Hicks Jr. and daughter Rebecca Louise Hicks. Also surviving are 2 grandchildren Trey and Cole Hicks.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 16, 2025 from 10am to 11am with funeral services to follow at Ft Mitchell Baptist Church 2323 Dixie Hwy, Ft Mitchell, KY. A reception will follow the funeral service in the basement of the church. Burial will be held privately at Highland Cemetery in Ft Mitchell. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Frank’s memory to the Moore Activity Center 304 Linden Ave, Covington, KY 41011.
