Ackford "Swede" Eslick, 85, of Carroll, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 21, 2025, from natural causes.

Born on June 26, 1940, in Harlan, Kentucky, Swede was the son of the late Pauline Vowell and Percy Manship Eslick. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a Seabee for 26 years, including multiple tours in Vietnam.

Following his military career, Swede remained devoted to service and camaraderie. He was an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Special Forces Association, the Special Forces Motorcycle Club, and Grace Bible Church in Canal Winchester.

Swede is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Donna (Gee) Eslick; his children, Jason (Laura) Eslick and Gretchen (Scott) Miller; his brother, Dan(Christine) Moreau; three grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Carol, Faith, Jackie, and brother David.

In keeping with his wishes, no services are planned at this time. Family requests that any donations to be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the National Kidney Foundation.
