We are seeking sponsors:
1. $1000 sponsors can shoot with and be coached by a team of Green Berets who just returned from a combat deployment to Afghanistan.

3. Other donations are also welcome.
We will provide the weapons, ammunition, meals and coaching for the $1000 and $5000 sponsors. These patriotic sponsors need only bring a good attitude and the SF guys will do the rest to make this a very enjoyable and memorable day for them; almost all of them are Ohioans. Sponsors can shoot all four bays and 12 iterations, or fewer.
The net proceeds of this event will go directly to supporting the men and families of this Special Forces unit.
The Indians management has generously provided tickets for SFA members and one guest each and all members of B/2/19 and their families. Contact Dan Waldron (email address in the Cc line of this email) if you want to participate. Game time is 7:10 pm; there will be recognition of SF during the game. Dan is also looking into discounted hotel rooms if you need to stay overnight in the Cleveland area.

UNCONVENTIONAL WARRIORS, THE MISSION CONTINUES
TO: SPECIAL FORCES ASSOCIATION MEMBERS
June 2017 will mark a major milestone in our history! We are pleased to host this celebration in Fayetteville and at Ft Bragg where it all began, 65 years ago.
Members and Vendors can register online using the secure links on the www.sfa1-18.org and www.SpecialForcesAssociation.org websites. Registration forms may also be downloaded and mailed in for those who prefer traditional registration. Updates to our conference schedule will be regularly posted, so please check it often to stay current on changes and additions. We have some exciting events planned and hope that all will join us in 2017.
Our theme is representative of our Special Forces heritage: UNCONVENTIONAL WARRIORS: THE MISSION CONTINUES. Included in our conference agenda will be briefings from the highest military echelon on current strategies, tactics and evolving operational concepts.
Events for the week are being planned. Stryker Golf Course on post will host the golf tournament and, once again the annual picnic will be at Paradise Acres. The picnic will feature military exhibitions and precision parachute jumps. The Hospitality room will be open daily. It is THE place to catch up with old friends and make new ones, “embellish” old stores, enjoy entertainment, food and great comradery.
The DoubleTree Inn is our Conference hotel and we have contracted with nearby hotels; some have smoking rooms available. When the DoubleTree Inn fills up, other hotels are offering special conference rates, so check the Hotels page on our website. Remember to tell reservations that you are with the 2017 Special Forces Association Conference regardless of any other discounts you may receive. The deadline to receive the group rates is May 1, 2017.

Six chapter members have been nominated and approved for induction into the “class of 2017.” These brave men are: Jeff Gallaher, Sean Clifton, Matt Schaeffer, Dustin Meyer, Matt Maxwell, and Jordan Grimshaw. The ceremony is 5 May at 1130 hrs at the Ohio Statehouse Atrium in downtown Columbus.
This is a popular event and a standing room only (although there are seats for 250 people), so you are recommended to arrive early and be parked by 10 am in one of the many lots near the statehouse. Don’t expect to park at the statehouse that day unless you arrive before 0800 because this is one event that brings people in from all over the country.
Please add this to your calendars and attend it because this is a high profile event, and our guys will be the largest group within this year’s ceremony!
